Maxillofacial injuries in war – our rapid learning curve

The UK has very few facial gunshot injuries but during the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, all British soldiers were transferred to the University Hospital Birmingham.  This meant there was a very rapid learning curve in the treatment of the British soldiers.

The lecture will go through our treatment of their facial injuries in this extremely motivated group of patients.
